Vape/E-Liquid spill on Macbook Air. Has anyone taken care of it?

So my dear, dear brother, definitely not about to be strangled, spilled e-juice/nicotine liquid on the keyboard of my brand new Macbook Air, yesterday. It’s a 2020 M1 model. It was maybe half a tablespoon, spilled on the left side of the keyboard. I wiped up the spill immediately – about 4-5 seconds after it happened – and removed the keys from the affected area to clean underneath as well. I cleaned it very thoroughly, but I think it would be naïve to assume that at least a small amount didn’t sink lower. The machine doesn’t seem to be affected at all – it’s not dead, although I turned it off almost immediately afterwards. Keys still work, backlights still work. There doesn’t seem to be any issues, but I’m hesitant to be optimistic because I know issues can arise days/weeks later.

Has anyone processed anything to this effect, and what was the result? Vaping juice is typically made up of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine salts, and flavorings. PG and VG are by far the most important ingredients. Should I start freaking out and freaking out, or is a “wait and see what happens” approach better? I’ve been saving up for years to buy this thing and have had it for about five months, so to say I’m upset is an understatement.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
